Volunteering can help to develop a wide range of skills while also helping others engage with our service. Many of our volunteers have gone on to find paid employment, some with Jigsaw Homes Group.
We have a wide range of volunteering opportunities such as:
• Hosting social and confidence building groups
• Art groups
• Cooking and gardening groups
• Volunteering in the community
All skills are valued, and our aim is to attract volunteers from diverse communities and underrepresented groups. Our diverse pool of volunteers enables our organisation to represent our local communities and encourage new ideas and fresh approaches.

It has allowed me to develop and gain more self-confidence and knowledge than I could have imagined. My favourite part was meeting all the staff, working in the refuge and seeing the positive journey from our clients and how we help! I have loved learning new things, networking, and having a sense of belonging. I have learnt a lot. It’s just a shame it was only for 6 months!

Please note:
All applicants must be willing to have a DBS check, provide two references and complete pre-placement training sessions. In return, we will offer a range of interesting and rewarding volunteering opportunities.
Volunteers can claim pre-agreed expenses for travel and lunch if applicable.
