Jigsaw Foundation award funding to deliver a community sports intervention programme

Jigsaw Foundation has awarded £5,950 in funding to Bootle JFA, a community group in Sefton. The grant will be used to deliver a community sports intervention programme to young people living in the local community. It also aims to help reduce the number of criminal incidents in the area.

The money will help Bootle JFA deliver a 45-week football, boxing and fitness programme, which will target youngsters aged 11-18 years. To help improve employment or college prospects, volunteering opportunities will also be offered. This will help local young people gain valuable work experience. The programme has also been offered to Jigsaw residents in the area.

Applications to the Jigsaw Foundation have closed for this year for projects in Adactus Housing Association areas. If you think a community project may benefit from Jigsaw Foundation funding next year, contact the Jigsaw Foundation team.  Alternatively, you can visit the website here.

Our Jigsaw Rewards users vote on applications for funding of up to £25,000. You, too, can get involved in voting on local projects that receive funding by signing up to Jigsaw Rewards.

We will be accepting applications from January 2020 for consideration in April 2020.
